HEC is a non-ionic water-soluble polymer, white or slightly yellow, easy-flowing powder, odorless and tasteless, soluble in both cold water and hot water, and the dissolution rate increases with the increase of temperature. Insoluble in most organic solvents. It has good PH stability, and the viscosity changes little in the range of PH2-12. HEC has high salt resistance and moisture absorption ability, and has strong hydrophilic water retention. Its aqueous solutions are surface-active and high-viscosity products are highly pseudoplastic.
