GinShiCel® hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether made from natural polymer material cellulose through etherification. It is an odorless, tasteless and nontoxic white powder that swells in cold water to a clear or slightly cloudy colloidal solution. It has the properties of thickening, dispersing, emulsifying, film-forming, suspending, adsorbing, surface-active, retaining moisture and protecting colloids.
